Although my house is already filled with the nicest thrift store finds, I can not resist to keep looking. We continue to look for unique items. Here in Sneek we have a new store called ‘Mijn Tafel’. Here you can rent a table and the owners of the shop sell your stuff. The money goes to the you. What’s nice about this is that there is some really good stuff to be found and it’s mostly in pretty good condition. I already found quite a number of clothes for Rens in mint condition and Tom found a box full of Lego for only 25 Euros.

But outside of new things they also have the cute vintage stuff. Such as the teapot and kettle above. And what about the clock? We were looking for a clock for the living room and this one is just perfect!

I found this super cute retro garage at our favorite thrift store. I know Rens is not nearly ready to play with it, but I just couldn’t leave it there!

I currently have a weakness for pretty things for Rens, like toys and clothes, and vintage kitchen stuff. What are the items you have a soft spot for when you go shopping at thrift store? XO Wilma

Big artwork with vintage teapot

artwork vintage teapot

I want a lot of white with splashes of color in my new interior. In order to do so I felt like I needed some colorful artwork. I bought two big canvasses  for the living room to get started. Because I love vintage tableware I decided to paint a big teapot on my first canvas. This teapot is kind of inspired on the Cathrineholm teapot. Not exactly the same, just inspired. I love how the colors turned out! The next painting is going to be all about teacups and is going to hang next to this one.

What do you think about this first painting? XOXO Wilma

DIY – Teapot

teapot diy

Do you remember my ‘Today’s color inspiration’ with the teapot? I loved that quote: ‘Hello… Is it tea you’re looking for?’. So I decided to make my own teapot with the same quote. I found a great teapot for this project at the thrift store but they are in ‘normal’ stores not that expensive too. It’s a really easy project and a great gift for a friend who loves tea!
