I’m absolutely in love with this project. It looks so cute! The text I added to this speak bubble is sadly something that my plants would probably say when they could speak. I would love to keep everything alive, and really: I am learning But for some reason there are always moments that I just completely forget about my plants. That’s when they die, obviously. So maybe I made these speak bubbles as a reminder so this plant will really survive. Read More »

Sometimes it’s so hard to think of a good gift for someone you love. You want to give them something they will use and remember but they already have so much stuff. And to make it even worse: there is close to nothing on their wishlist. So what to do? Well, pick something they love to do and create something that helps them with it! This garden markers are a great example of just that. My dad loves his vegetable garden (I promise I will make pictures this summer, it’s really pretty) but I noticed he didn’t had any garden markers. So I decided to make him some for his birthday. I called my mom for a list of all the vegetables and bought a lot of paint stirrers. I love the end result and so did my dad. I think they will look great in his garden! Read More »
Today I have a super fun DIY project for you: Christmas tea lights with a plaid pattern. The nice thing about this tea lights is that if you don’t like the pattern anymore, you can change them very easily. The tea lights are painted with acrylic paint, so you can wash off the paint if you want to. If you want a more permanent option, use ceramic paint that you can bake in the oven at a low temperature. The disadvantage of the latter option is that this type of paint dries much faster, making the plaid effect harder to achieve.

Yesterday it was the birthday of a friend of mine. He also just moved to a new apartment. Yesterday was the first time we went there so we needed a gift that was both a birthday present and a housewarming gift. He really loves cooking and because he has now a balcony right next to his kitchen I decided to give him a balcony planter with herbs. Of course I also needed some herb markers. This is how I made them!

My best friend has always a lot of kids over at her home. She has one of her own and she is babysitting for a living. This makes that her house is never completely tidy. But who cares? The kids should be able to play, don’t they? So when she saw the quote ‘Excuse the mess, the children are making memories’ she decided it had to be on her wall. Of course I had my ideas on how to make the sign. We went to the thrift store and purchased the tabletop of a small table. Perfect for this project because it already had the desired shape! You can make a sign like this for just a few dollars, or with things you already have lying around in your home!
