I was asked by Buzzfeed to make a DIY with confetti. Super fun of course! I decided to make something with gold confetti. By adding an additional layer of matte Mod Podge the structure looks a little bit like gold leaf. I think it’s a nice contrast with the white terracotta planters!

I have a pair of black pumps that are really comfortable. Because of that I wear them a lot and oh boy that’s visible… I can’t trow them away, they are to comfy! But I can’t really wear them anymore ether. Don’t we all have a pair of shoes like this? I decided it was time for a makeover. For the shoes I used some vintage fabric and the heel is covered with fake leather. I developed a really easy technique on how to make a pattern for your fabric. So, let’s get started! XO Wilma

I have a lot of old picture frames lying around that I can’t paint. And with can’t I mean that I did try to paint them but for some reason the paint keeps turning orange. It’s mixing with the ‘stuff’ (whatever it is) that gives the frame a wood print. I don’t want to trow them away so I thought of something to go around this painting problem. Do you remember the brown leather purses I found in the thrift store? I posted them last week in ‘Latest thrift store finds’. I really love these little purses. I don’t care that they are scratched and torn. It all adds up to the vintage feel. I love bags with character! But I thought I could make them even a little more special. I really wanted to keep the vintage feel, but I wanted to make the bag more unique. What did I do to make that work? I used lace! And some Mod Podge of course..

Those of you who are following me on Facebook and/or Twitter have already seen a little preview of these fabulous vintage style shoes. Today I am finally sharing the DIY! I found these great vintage style shoes for just 4,50 Euro. I loved them, but I thought they would be even more fabulous with a little bit of paint.
