DIY – Fabric covered jars

DIY - Fabric covered jars

I have a whole bunch of jars with different shapes and sizes standing here without being used. I have used them in the past in the kitchen for pasta, sugar and flour. But I think it is ultimately better to have jars who look the same. I also had a pot with an advertising message on it. Not very nice to display in the kitchen. It seemed like a good idea to cover them with fabric. Now they are super cute jars who earn a spot in the kitchen!

Super cute hot air balloon fabric from Lillestoff

lillestof fabric

A while ago I got a package from Lillestoff containing a super nice fabric with hot air balloons on it! As you may know I love hot air balloons, so this totally awesome fabric will undoubtedly get a nice destination. Especially now that Rens is here. The colors are very bright and they are a few my favorites. The quality of the fabric is very good. It is a jersey that is also organic. At Lillestoff you can find many more super cute fabrics. I highly recommended to go and see!

I’ve been thinking about what I will make of it. It’s a pretty large print, so not very suitable for clothing for Rens at the moment, because he is still so little. Maybe a wrap blanket? I’ll think of something, because this nice fabric deserves to become something great!

If anyone has any ideas let me know! XO Wilma

thrif store finds fabric and teatowel

I made a quick stop by the thrift store today. Just to see if they have anything new and amazing for me. I also needed some small baskets for a project that I will be sharing with you soon. Of course they had all kind of amazing new things. I found two vintage mermaid tea towels. They are so cute! The blouse I bought just for the fabric. I love the fabric but the model really isn’t my kind of thing.

Latest thrift store finds!

thrift store find singer sewing machine

I want to share some of my latest thrift store finds today. Some days ago I bought this amazing vintage Singer sewing machine in the thrift store. It wasn’t really working, but I fixed it! At least for now. I hope it won’t stop working again! It’s a sewing machine on a small cabinet. You can put the machine inside the cabinet (by turning the sewing machine upside down). The cabinet is not in a really good shape so I may have to paint it. But I love this sewing machine! It will get a nice place in my new craft room.

thrift store find vintage fabric

Today there was a flea market in the city. I went strait for the fabric. I found a lot of amazing fabrics. I’m so happy! I also bought a really big wicker basket. It’s 50 cm high, 55 cm wide and 85 cm long. I wanted one for a long time. I want to use it in the future for dress up clothes for kids. Wouldn’t that be lovely?

Tomorrow we will go to the same flea market because they will open the furniture section. I want a cabinet for the nursery. So we will see what we find! XO Wilma
