I have a little brother who is 17 years younger then I am. When he was like 5 years old (don’t pin me down on that one) he brought me these napkins from a holiday to Scandinavia. I think the design of the napkins really represents Scandinavian design. I love them! I don’t have much of them left unfortunately, so I decided to make something with them that would last me a little longer then just napkins. I mean; don’t you think he had a great taste at such a young age? I thought it was so sweet of him to bring them home for me. These decoupage Easter eggs are made with those napkins!

What you need to make decoupage Easter eggs
– white eggs
– something sharp
– small bowl
– Mod Podge
– paint brush
– napkins with a fabulous, fine print
– scissors
How to make these fabulous Easter eggs
First you need to blow out the eggs. Poke a hole in the bottom and the top of the egg. The hole at the bottom (the wider side of the egg) should be a little smaller then the one on the top. The one on the top should be around 2 mm wide, otherwise you have to blow until you turn purple. Now blow on the bigger side of the egg until the egg is empty. Hold the egg right above the bowl when you’re blowing. Put the egg under the running water to clean it from the inside. You might need to blow again to make all the water come out. Put the eggs in the microwave for about 30 seconds on high to dry them completely.
Alright, now we can start decoupage this Easter egg! Peel the top layer off of the napkin. This is the layer where all the color is printed on. Cut out the image you want to decoupage onto your egg. Get the Mod Podge and the paint brush and put some glue on the egg. Place your image on the egg. Put some more Mod Podge over the image. This way you will get a smooth result. Repeat until your egg is Easter worthy.
When the Mod Podge is completely dry your decoupage Easter egg is ready!
