banana, nectarine and strawberry smoothie recipe

Smoothies are perfect for hot summer weather. I love the taste of it plus it’s super healthy! My boyfriend made this one for me the day my water broke. We thought a few extra vitamins couldn’t be a bad thing! Of course this nectarine, banana and strawberry smoothie would be just as delicious on a regular day. 😉

DIY – Hammered metal look cuff bracelet

DIY- How to make a hammered metal look cuff bracelet with household materials

As promised today a cuff bracelet DIY project. This hammered metal look cuff bracelet is super easy to make with materials you most likely already have. As a base for this bracelet I used a toilet roll that I took from a restaurant. Those are bigger and stronger than the ones you use at home.

DIY – Easy hand scrub for gardeners and crafters

Make this easy DIY hand scrub for a gardener or a crafter. It makes your hands super soft!

My boyfriend works at a printer and always comes home with some ink on his hands. He cleans his hands and arms very well when he is at work but he almost always misses a spot. That’s why I decided we needed something at home that could clean his hands. This hand scrub works really well. Besides that it’s also a really easy project and a great gift for someone who makes his or her hands dirty often. Maybe a gardener or a crafter.

This week was… delicious but frustrating

This week was... delicious but frustrating

This week was full of good things. We had great food like this delicious homemade pizza (1) and burgers (4). We also went to a barbecue where a friend of ours who is a cook made strawberry and chocolate chip cookie ice cream (5). It was SOOOO GOOD! I know it looks like I’m kinda going overboard with all the amazing food right now but I feel like I should enjoy the food that I like at the moment and not worry too much about it.

Besides the food I finally feel like myself again (3). Without the tube going through my nose. It feels so much better! It makes me really happy. Our cat Dime (2) also makes me really happy. He has been so cute this past week. It’s like he is feeling that there is change coming in our household. I also think he feels that I need his attention now more than ever. It’s been a hard week for me. I really want our baby to be born. It feels like it can be here any moment now and I’m tired of the pain, nausea and waiting. I’m almost 39 weeks pregnant now and I think it’s time for our little one to come into this world.

Thrift stores where also visited this week (6). I found three of these cute mugs for my sister. We also found some old school maps of The Netherlands and of the world. They are getting a special place into our home soon!

For my ‘This week was…’ posts I use my Instagram pictures. You can follow me here! XO Wilma

Recipe – Creamy spinach soup

creamy spinach soup recipe

This is the favorite soup of my boyfriend. He loves it when I’m making him this as a treat. Especially when he comes home late from work. I never was a big soup lover until I tasted something similar to this soup at a restaurant a few years back. I was sold. Homemade soups are so much better than store-bought ones. And this creamy spinach soup is after all those years still my absolute favorite!

DIY – How to make a photo iPhone case

DIY - How to make a iPhone photo case. This is the easiest and cheapest way to do it!

I love my iPhone and I also love the different cases that there are available for it. But sometimes I want something just a little bit more special. Something a little bit more personal and unique maybe. Of course I could just order a case with a personal photo on it. But why should I do that if I could also make my own DIY photo iPhone case ? Best thing: you can change the photo on this DIY iPhone case as many times as you want plus it’s way cheaper! In just a few weeks I know I have some cute baby pictures that I want on the back of my iPhone but for now I choose a great picture that I found in a magazine. This really is the easiest and quickest way to make an iPhone photo case!
