Recipe – Delicious homemade hot cocoa mix!

Recipe - Delicious hot cocoa mix! @By Wilma

Oh the weather… Ever since I’m back from my holiday it’s raining everyday. And it’s cold. Well it’s called fall and there is nothing wrong with that. Because fall comes with some great things like pumpkins and hot chocolate! I bought some pumpkins  and they are in my window-sill. I love the look of it and I will be a little bit sad when I have to let them go. Good thing is: I have a lot of seeds now to grow my own pumpkins next year! The other thing, hot chocolate, is tasting so much better when it’s cold outside. I always wonder why. I mean, tea and coffee do taste the same with cold or warm weather in my opinion? I made a batch of hot cocoa mix that I want to share with you. This hot cocoa mix is made with milk, not with water.

When I have left over French bread I love to make some crostini. They are easy to make and are delicious with all kinds of toppings. I love them with tomato, mozzarella and some basil. But today I’m going to make a sweeter variation with blueberries, honey and cream cheese. They really are delicious!

DIY – No sew blouse to dress tutorial

DIY - How to create a really cute dress from a long blouse without any sewing! @ By Wilma

I found this long blouse at the thrift store. I loved the print but hated the fit. It doesn’t do anything for me. I decided that I could make it into a really cute dress. Before I would cut it I tried it on and played with it. That’s when I came to the discovery that it really didn’t need any sewing! I could transform this blouse into a really cute dress without any sewing!

DIY – Chalkboard lettering

DIY - Chalkboard lettering

I have seen so much examples of chalkboard lettering and I absolutely adore the look of it. I thought it must be possible to do this myself. At my work we have a lot of chalkboards so I decided to do one of those. Unfortunately the quality of the chalkboard paint is poor, really poor. So I couldn’t get it perfect because the chalk didn’t really attach to some parts of the chalkboard. But I tried and I think it turned out ok anyway. My boyfriend (who also works there) is going to paint the chalkboards again so I think I’m going to draw this one over.  I want to share with you some simple steps on making chalkboard lettering. Hope you like it!

DIY – Money envelopes

DIY - Money envelopes

Some people just want money for there birthdays. I really don’t like giving money but if it really is what a person wants I do give it. Besides that, if there are a lot of parties in a short period of time, or if I don’t know the host good enough, it’s really easy to just give money. But of course even money can’t be, and shouldn’t be, boring. So today I want to share some cute little DIY money envelopes with you. Hope you’ll like them!

DIY – Really easy poncho

DIY - Really easy poncho

This simple poncho is great for this fall! I made it from 1 meter of knitted fabric and it’s really easy to make. A real beginners project I would say. I love to wear mine with a belt around my waist. I only ‘belt’ the front, the back is hanging loose. This creates the ‘wing’ effect. What do you think about this cute and really easy to make poncho?
