Creative green interior design
Another interior project I have worked on. I love to have a lot of freedom in projects, because that’s how the most creative interior designs are born. In this home recycling and ‘green’ living is a theme. Off course you can see it in the green color of the home but the materials in this home are also green. Besides that I put a lot of creative recycling projects in this home.
Above you see the walls that I covered in book pages. I draw pictures on them of environment friendly products like for example bicycles. Love how it turned out! I also put buckets above the table as lamps.
See more pictures from this green interior design after the jump. . .
I designed the magazine rack myself and a local business who makes furniture out of recycled woods made it for me. They also made the tables and the chairs in the living room. The chairs around the table are all thrifted and painted in the same color green.
The floor is made from bamboo and the rug is made with cradle to cradle carpet tiles. On the couch there are pillows made from men shirts.
The table in the living room is also thrifted and painted. The letters above the chairs are made from Styrofoam and painted in the same green color as the walls. The text ‘Warm Welkom’ means ‘Warm Welcome’ and was the name of the project where this interior is made for.

Erg mooie foto’s, leuk gedaan!

Beautiful room! It looks so relaxing. Although I’d be tempted to hang some little trinket from the bucket handles hanging down. But that’s just me.
Hello!
I found this via craftgawker.
First of all, amazing house! I love the atmosphere— especially in the kitchen.
I was wondering how you did the walls… Did you mod podge those pages on?
I looks really nice and I’m thinking about doing something like that in my room.
Thanks,
Mika
I did it with extra strong glue for wallpaper.
It looks very good, love the book page wall! Congrats on the project!
